Ashley Potter was born in Cambridge, England on April 20th, 1972.

He studied art while at college in Cambridge, England, and started in the design industry by getting his first job as a graphic designer at the age of eighteen. Having worked in small companies in and around Cambridge, including the local newspapers "The Cambridge Evening News" and "Town Crier", in 1995 he made the move to London to work at a printing company based in Hammersmith.

In the late 1990's Ashley saw the rise of web design and started creating websites for customers.

A fortunate encounter gave Ashley the opportunity to go to Japan in 1994. Visiting Tokyo, Toyohashi and Shinshiro he knew that Japan was the place he should be.

After years of working the the book publishing industry in England, the chance to move to Japan came around and in July 2006 the dream came true and Ashley moved to Hachioji, Tokyo. After working in central Tokyo, opportunity came round again to move to Toyohashi City.

In 2016 Ashley established the brand name Industrial Punk as a company and now produces artworks, designs for web and print, and, after a few investments in machinery, now offers small-size manufacturing and prototyping in various materials such as wood, plastics and carbon fibre.

Industrial Punk is a growing small-company with a vision to design and realise customers' dreams.
